HELSINKI, Finland, October 8, 2026 – Gosta Labs and Medanets are starting a partnership that brings AI-assisted documentation into everyday nursing care across Europe.
Documentation is essential for safe, high-quality care, but it takes up a large share of professionals' working time. Patient information is often recorded twice: once where care takes place, and again later at a computer, across several systems. The partnership moves AI-assisted documentation into the workflow where care actually happens.
AI inside the tool nurses already use
Medanets provides a mobile application that nurses and other healthcare professionals use to document observations, medication administration and care activities at the patient's bedside. The application is used by wellbeing services counties and other healthcare organisations across Finland and Europe. Gosta Labs brings Gosta AI Assistant, which uses AI models fine-tuned for clinical language. Gosta listens to the patient encounter and creates a structured documentation draft from it. Professionals can also dictate a note, which Gosta turns into a structured summary that follows the organisation's own documentation templates.
In practice, the nurse logs in to Medanets, identifies the patient, opens Gosta from a button in the familiar interface, and dictates the note. The nurse then reviews the text, makes any necessary edits and approves it. The note is saved automatically to the patient-specific view in Medanets and passed on to the electronic health record system. Nurses keep their current device, login and interface, with no separate application to install.
The aim of the partnership is to complete documentation where care takes place, so less time goes to paperwork and more goes to patients.
